About The Playground
Overview
The Playground is an indoor training facility specifically designed for softball players. We are committed to customizing the experience for each individual athlete. The Sioux Falls area desperately needed an indoor training space that caters to the unique needs of young, female athletes, and The Playground is here to meet that demand. At The Playground, you’ll find a team of dedicated instructors who take the time to truly understand their athletes, allowing them to determine the best training approach for each individual. We do not believe in a “cookie-cutter” method. Instead, every athlete is treated as an individual and challenged appropriately to meet and exceed their goals.
Our why
Our "why" is to provide a community for softball athletes in the midwest to become the best versions of themselves on and off the field through interactions with positive role models, emphasizing confidence, and providing top-level instruction. The Playground is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders and softball is simply the most fun way to do that! We do this through demanding hard work, supporting each athlete, and by creating a community enviornment.
Logistics
Space
- 12,000 square foot facility including an additional 35'x50' multi-use turf area.
- Six 12'x66' tunnel that can slide open to make one big open area with no support beams and 15' high ceilings.
- New weight room with mulitple racks, dumbbells, resistance bands, and more.
amenities
- Hack Attack & Jugs Pitching machines.
- Two plyo boards with multiple sized plyo balls.
- Bats, balls, and tools to utilize.
- Upstairs "viewing" area that can be used for team meetings, parents meetings, parties, etc.
